Used to come here a lot a lifetime ago when it was called Chez Tessa, a cheap and cheerful Vietnamese/Chinese eatery that changed hands/names in April 2019. Some of the items on the menu still look familiar, but obviously prices haven’t stayed the same since I last ate here!
We defaulted to our pretty standard Vietnamese food orders:
* no.16 grilled pork with rice (越南猪排饭), $15
* no.55 pho / beef rice noodle soup (越南牛肉河粉), $15
Both were done pretty well and the staff handled an influx of customers on this Sunday lunch in March (we had about 20 people turn up after church). My rice dish came with an optional bowl of soup - it was a bit spicy and rather moreish. Also got to try one of their chicken wings thanks to another couple on our table - the chicken wing and rice was probably one of their most popular items back in my time and I certainly ordered it quite a few times, so the nostalgia was real when biting into it! (But the taste of old seemed better in my memory)
I can no longer call this place cheap but good to know it’s still a solid option for food in the village 👍
Notes:
* Prices on the laminated A4 menus are out of date. Current pricing is displayed on the larger menu on the wall. The difference is pretty much 2 across the board.
* There is a cash discount - not sure how much/what percentage cos I got lost in the initial confusion with pricing since I was ordering off the A4 menu.

Good spot to grab something quick to eat. Noodles are tasty and food comes out quick

Super fresh food and exactly like the pictures. Rice paper rolls, spring rolls, and beef rice noodles were all excellent.

Restaurant looks like it desperately needs a clean and there’s too many items on the menu.
They have friendly service though
